In to Scotland and with it comes the rain ,hills and tired legs. The lads did
well to reach the Forth road bridge today.640 miles in the hipper and the guys look forward to the ride through the home districts of fife, Some concenerd about the bike wheels being stolen on the move, but keen to crack on never the less.
General feeling is they could do with out the rain first thing ,however morale high overall .

more hills!!!!!!!! and not a big enough lens to have badders and tollan in the shot
Big wishy feeling the burn on the hills of the lake district.
Today the guys reached the borders of Scotland after a hilly start to the morning .Graham in true (butch parker) form showing the younger boys how it is done.53 miles in the bag ,today being one of the shortest days but by far but not the easiest by a long shot .Big push on to Scotland's Capital tomorrow.

Friday, 23 April 2010

Today the boys peddled there way Kendal.80 miles in the bag and 450 miles in total seeing the guys well ahead of schedule .A few aches and pains starting to rise there ugly heads however morale is still high .A good day overall with a visit from Badders dad this morning .The heavy traffic being the main bug bare of the day.
Guys treating themselves to fish and chips tonight before attacking the hills of the lake district tommorrow.

Where`s Badders????
Finishing strong.
Badders juggling!!!!! Picture by Marty Gray
Day 4; 95miles today of relatively flat ground which puts our total distance at 370miles. Todays route took us through Hereford-Shrewsbury-Whitchurch and finished in the vacinity of Warrington. The sun shone bright with sunburn changing from the right leg to the left leg.

We have been promised SW winds but they have yet to arrive and the only wind around is always on your face. Tomorrows route takes us through Warrington-Wigan-Leyland-Preston and looking to finish around Lancaster.

Wishy continues to make new friends in different parts of the country, Badders still acts like a clown because he is juggling, Buckie and General Tollan try (and fail) to take King of the Mountains-Parker still holds the Polka Dot jersey.Nige had his first day without any mechanical problems although he still believes his bike is cursed.

Roll on tomorrow-easy street!!!!
This photo was for Yesterday overall a good day .105 miles in total ,however the boys and guest riders did feel it at the end of the day. Sorry this late no dongle reception last night. More photos to come and today news.

Day two now complete, 176m in total in the bag with another long day ahead tomorrow. We hear of snow in Inverness but all cyclists have strange tan lines from sunburn (the drivers right arm is testiment to this!) All went well today with all now working efficiently as a group which improved the total distance and time. No crazy vehicles to contend with today and a very pleasant cycle. We head into Wales tomorrow and pray for more of the same. Hello to all! Thanks again for the support. General Tollan is concerned that the battalion is functioning without him, Wishy continues to shrink,Marty has yet to smile!!!!!! and Kasey Ribeck (Si-the combat chef) is producing the goods. Until tomorrow-au revior.
